The Dads came together in 2009 when they were involved in the Sony Dads project. As the marketing initiative wound down they realized that they wanted to continue doing something together and thus the podcast was born. The variety of locations and ages of children alone made it a must do project. Read below to find out a bit more about each of the Cast of Dads.

Brad Powell a.k.a. “Daddy Brad” earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of the South in Sewanee Tennessee and an M.B.A from St. Edward’s University in Austin Texas.  He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of DadLabs Inc. and is in charge of all business operations of the company.  Daddy Brad serves as co-host for two of the DadLabs weekly web shows and is an avid daddy blogger, accomplished parenting speaker and serves as an independent consultant to various small and mid-sized organizations in the areas of strategic financial planning, institutional growth, communications and social media marketing.

Powell is co-author of DadLabs Guide To Fatherhood, Pregnancy and Year One, “ Quirk Books 2009” and co-author of The Effects of Developmental Mentoring on Connectedness and Academic Achievement published in The School Community Journal Fall 2002.  Powell is a regular columnist for the web publications Destination Maternity.com and Seton’s Babytalk.com.  He was selected as Dad of the Month by I-Parenting Media, has won both a Telly and a Webby award for excellence in video production and was recently named to Austin Social Media’s Top 100 list.

He claims to make the best Green Chili Stew east of the Pecos River, blows a mean blues harmonica, and blames the Grateful Dead and The Allman Brothers for his less than stellar college GPA.

Brad lives in Austin, TX with his wife Liz and three wonderful children Walker, Ella and Myers.

 

Michael Sheehan is an avid technologist, blogger, social media pundit (@HighTechDad on Twitter), loving husband and father of 3 beautiful girls. He writes about technology, consumer electronics, gadgets, software, hardware, parenting “hacks,” and other tips & tricks. He’s a fan of all technology that is new, exciting and valuable. Professionally, he’s the Technology Evangelist for GoGrid, a leading Cloud Computing Infrastructure hosting provider.

He has been personally blogging about technology for many years, providing product reviews of hardware and software, as well as writing fix-its, how-to’s and other tips and tricks.

Technology, gadgets, gizmos, hardware, software and anything geeky are what he’s passionate about. He helped position GoGrid within the Cloud Community and uses Social Media, Social Marketing, Public and Press Relations and corporate blogging to evangelize the large and growing benefits of outsourced server infrastructure in the cloud. He has well over 10 years of Product, Account and Engineering Management experience, as well as a passion for all types of technologies.

His desire is to bridge the gap between the technical and marketing aspects of various products and services, but doing so in a way that is understandable by most, informative and unique.

A gadget geek and early adopter at heart, Jeff Sass is an experienced technology and entertainment executive and the proud father of ZEO: Zachary, 21, Ethan, 19 and Olivia, 18.  A graduate of Cornell University, Jeff has co-founded and run mobile commerce and technology companies and he has written and produced for film and television.  Currently the VP of Business Development for mobile entertainment company Myxer, Jeff is an avid social media enthusiast and writes for several blogs including Sassholes, Social Networking Rehab, and Dad-O-Matic.  For more information than you would ever need to know about Jeff you can visit his digital hub at www.JeffreySass.com.

Max Kalehoff is a student in new marketing and media, with experience building reputations of early-stage companies. He’s vice president of marketing at Clickable, a technology platform whose whose purpose is to help businesses survive and thrive by simplifying advertising success. His prior experience includes marketing leadership roles at Nielsen BuzzMetrics and comScore Media Metrix. He blogs on marketing, technology and parenting at AttentionMax, and pens the weekly Friday Spin column in MediaPost. His formal education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, a diploma from the French Culinary Institute, and a Merchant Marine Master License from the United States Coast Guard. He lives in Pelham Manor, New York, with his wife Laura and two kids, Julian and Celeste. His interests include sailing, writing and cooking.

C.C. Chapman has been sharing his thoughts and rambles on his blog since 2002 and has been called everything from a new media maven, to a grounded futurist.

He is the Co-Author of the best selling book Content Rules and the Founder of Digital Dads.

C.C. was one of the first professional podcasters and continues to produce a leadership and motivational podcast called Managing the Gray.

Based in metro-west Boston and a graduate of Bentley University, C.C. gets the most pleasure out of spending time with his family and friends. He is extremely active in the social media community and is considered an influencer and connector by most. His comments and photos have appeared in a variety of media including The Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, The Boston Globe and on Fox Television. He is also the founder of the parenting focused website Digital Dads.
